Great venue. Wooded hills in the background. Shame no one watching (that we can see from the camera angle anyway).

It's a wonderful venue, and should be a bit cooler this month, in August the temps are fierce down there. Lovely place for a few days off with great beaches around there too smile

my parents are down in that area on holiday this week, say it is around 25-26 degrees day time, cooler evening around 16-17.

Bizarrely, next week my son is in Istanbul on holiday with his GF whilst the Challenger is being played there, and week before my brother was on holiday in Mallorca whilst challenger was being played there. My family have no interest in going to see the tennis though ! But it seems like we are stalking Dan Evans and his itinerary !

L16: Daniel Evans & Jonny O'Mara UNR (UNR & 86) vs (3) Matt Reid & Sergiy Stakhovsky (AUS/UKR) CR 395 (135+260)

A rather good unranked pair and Dan of course a doubles finalist last week so will be ranked next Monday.

Dan threw in a rather middling service game, along with a MAJOR complaint about some umpiring 'error', with the umpire now saying 'let's move on, Daniel, let's move on'.....

But the first set is gone, 4-6

Umpire is being pretty patient I reckon. I'm a big fan, but Evo really needs to wind his neck in here.

I had to go out when Evo had just started arguing, and not at all surprised to see he lost that 1st set. When will he ever learn ?

The arguing came at the end of the set; I don't think it really cost him the set, it was more him letting off steam (in a big way) because he was miffed because he'd lost the set.

But he's now a break up - he likes to argue, it gets him pepped up....smile

It's close though....

He  was  questioning about whether a 'hindrance' had occured before the end of the 1st set I thought and starting to 'go on'........ but like I said I was going out and possibly not paying great attention.   Personally,  I have never seen him benefit from arguing with umpires,  but I accept that sometimes his 'letting off steam' may help.
