Had things to do after the first set. Pleased to see that Jo has levelled. Do they still have to play the doubles tonight? It will be a late one if they do.
Hungary 2-0 Slovenia, so that's Slovenia out and Hungary in a decent position. Would be good if Slovenia could win that final doubles rubber as that would make our path a bit easier.
If GB win the tie tonight (2-1 or 3-0), it'll be a straight shootout between GB and Hungary tomorrow, where the first to 2 rubbers will advance (win the tie), but if Greece turn this around tonight and win 2-1, it becomes a bit more complicated:
GB will be 1 win, 1 loss and 4-2 in terms of sets Greece will be 1 win, 1 loss and 3-3 in terms of sets Hungary will be 2 wins, 0 defeats and either 4-2 or 5-1 in sets.
Greece would have to beat Slovenia 3-0 or they would be out and 3-0 would make them 6-3 in sets, 5-4 wouldn't be enough for them to top the group. If GB beat Hungary 3-0 they would top the group regardless, but if it was 2-1 GB then it could well come down to games won between GB, Hungary and Greece if we all ended up with a sets ratio of 6:3.
Lots of maths involved, hopefully we'll win tonight and have a straight shootout with Hungary.

Hi ace- just to say I think you've got sets confused. Gb if they Lose 2-1 Will be 4-2 on rubbers and are currently 8-1 on sets ahead of jo playing (8-2) in running. Your logic is right but it's ties , rubbers, sets and then games.
Could be v close though as you say
Haha, that was a complete waste of time them
Strangely, rubbers seem to have nothing to do with deciding it:
i) If two Nations score an equal number of points, the head-to-head result between these Nations shall decide the winner.
ii) If three or more Nations score an equal number of points the following procedure must be used:
- The number of matches won shall decide the winner.
- If matches won are equal, the percentage of sets won of sets played against all teams in the pool shall decide the winner.
- If the percentage of sets won is equal, the percentage of games won of games played against all teams in the pool shall decide the winner. When three or more Nations are tied head-to-head results are never used to determine the positions in the pool.
So if Hungary, GB and Greece are all on 2 wins it'll go straight down to set won % and that'll be even more complicated. I'm just going to hope either Jo or the dubs do the job and think about it later if Greece do get the win, ha.

I think individual rubbers comes next after H2H ( N/A if 3 nations tieing ). I think their reference to "matches" means rubbers. Because, by definition, they are already level on ties/points won.

It's really really confusing and so ambiguous. I interpreted matches as in an actual match win, like 2-1 is a match. Then I wasn't even sure about 'points' and thought maybe that might include the rubbers? God knows - I guess it'll become clearer once the outcome of this match is determined. Hopefully it'll all be academic...
