I genuinely don't mind who wins this one, but Liam beat Jay last time out and we saw from the DC in Spain that he can raise his game, so I wont be at all surprised if he sees this one through.
I know I clumsily compared Andy v Kyle with Naomi v Katie B and Liam v Jay, but I do think there is something about experience here and the younger players wilting against more senior opponents, I really do
Looking at the stats, Liam served 80% first serve in and won 3/4' of those points. That looks like where he really made a massive difference. 80% is impressive

Hammering from Liam. Like Naomi, I hope he can now go on and get further! Ignatik next, ranked 209, Liam should feel he can beat him although Ignatik put out Robert in previous round. Nonetheless, no reason for Liam to fear him.
Hopefully Liam can go further now, clearly very one sided on the day and maybe the tension that has affected Liam's game lately is not a factor when playing Jay, maybe because of the familiarity. I think he has a good shot with Ignatik, despite beating Robert he seems to spend most of his time on the clay and I do think the hard courts are Liam's best surface.
I have every confidence that Jay is going to go on to much bigger things and this is still very early in his career. No doubt he will be disappointed but it was a rotten draw for both of them. But I do think Liam needs the points, and the confidence that goes with them, much more than Jay right now. So I am pleased for Liam. Jay's time will come.
