On the bright side, we have seven in qualifying on ranking alone (yes, one or two should really have made the main draw if they had played to their potential).

I'm going for Katie B, Gabi, Harriet and Heather to win, with no real expectations for Katy and Katie S. But who knows, if the order of play allows it, early wins could indeed inspire the others.

At least Heather and Naomi are both in the main doubles draw on ranking...yey?

No tv or streams unfortunately. The only slam not to which is a shame as it's the most tv friendly slam for most.

As far as I can tell, the qualifying isn't being shown on Amazon Prime. It looks as if there will be coverage from all three main courts plus a selection from the outside courts, but for the main draw only. I'll be looking around once the matches start though.

Re the womens doubles, is there a link to an entry list at all? The mens list is on Henri Kontinen's website of all places (via MTF) but the ladies list doesnt seem to be listed anywhere obvious! Thanks!

Katie Swan is an 8/15 favourite to beat Chiesa and is more of a favourite than Harriet (8/11) is to win her match which I was surprised about. Katy and Gabi outsiders at 5/2 and 9/4 respectively - I'd rather back Gabi at those prices. Heather a pretty big favourite to beat the young'un.

what are the bookies  saying about Katie B and Naomi? I presume Katie B is a close favourite as any casual betters are more likely to place on the one they have heard more of, ie Naomi? Or maybe I have no idea how it works ?! I am not a gambling man!

Also, out of interest, what are the odds on the Jay v Liam match (I know this is womens section but may as well ask rather than hopping over to mens and asking!)

 Kate B 4/9, Naomi 13/8.

Jay 8/11, Liam evens (same as Harriet's match)

I'd like to think Katie B (with apologies to Naomi) and Heather (with apologies to Katie S) will make the MD and, given a decent draw, chalk up a further win or two thereafter :)
Not too hopeful of any more making it through but crossing fingers for maybe 4 wins in all from Q1...
