Slow start from Gabi, too many soft errors, though a couple of super backhands from Madison in the last game.

Gabi's 2nd service game was a horror show, her forehand gifted Brengle a 2nd break of serve.

But she immediately rushes to 0-40 including a forehand return winner, and then takes her 3rd bp, when Madison's forehand is long.

Granollers has just beaten Peliwo so Harriet should be starting soon.

Mind, Gabi has 40-0* out of nowhere here, so maybe a way back in the set?

There was a very encouraging sustained attacking point won by Gabi near the end of the set, and some longer rallies in the last 10 mins, but otherwise a set to forget.

Gabi broken in first game of second set. 0-1*

Harriet just underway and was 30-15* last time I looked.

Gabi down 0-40 in her opening service game after a couple of poor groundstrokes, saves 2 bps through Madison's forehand errors but a deep backhand from MB gets her the early break 0-1*

Suddenly the standard of play rises dramatically, several great points involving sustained attacking play as Gabi twice earns bp but Madison comes up with good play to save them and then hold. 0-2

Horror show. Back to back dfs from Gabi. Broken to love 0-3*

Think I'll call this a night after the first Harriet set and hope for the best. Slightly better as she hit 40, but it's a 3rs break in a row from Fourlis and a 5th game in a row. 1-5*.
