The title part is key.  There was an assumption that Steve Johnson would be an easy opponent but he has 4 titles at this level including 2 this year and so clearly knows how to peak in a tournament.  Honestly his ranking would be higher but for a poor run from the middle of last year following the sudden loss of his father to whom he was extremely close.  I don't see Kyle losing to Steve as indicative of any problem in Kyle's game, I just think Steve is often underrated

 First title is also not technically correct - singles title is though as he and Cam won a 250 doubles title earlier in the year.
