Week 34 - ATP 250 - Winston-Salem Open, Winston-Salem, NC, USA (hard)

Kyle beat Johnson here last year and then also in the US open. Johnson also struggled a bit this season so kyle would go in as favourite against him or Munar

You're probably going to end up being right about that, SC, but as far as I can tell, Johnson hasn't won yet (he's 6-4 3-1* up)

I know I'm right, Steven:  the ATP live scoreboard froze at that score some time ago & I think you'll find that Johnson beat Munar by 4 & 4.  wink

You're right!

H2H for Kyle v Johnson is 2-1 - Kyle lost at the 2015 Aus Open but won from a set down in the same round here last year then beat him again, this time in straight sets, at the US Open a week later.

QF:  Joe Salisbury & Neal Skupski CR 93 (42+51) defeated Robert Lindstedt & Rajeev Ram (SWE/USA) CR 86 (49+37) by 3-6 6-4 [11-9]

They trailed for most of the MTB!  smile

Yes.  They were 0-3 and I think 3-8 down.  Saved an MP at 8-9 before getting over the line.  Clutch performance in the MTB.

Edit

I was only half watching live scores so Indi's rundown of points is definitely more accurate than mine.

I'll say!  Doubt they're going to complain, though!  wink

SF:  Joe Salisbury & Neal Skupski CR 93 (42+51) vs (2) Jean-Julien Rojer & Horia Tecau (NED/ROU) CR 24 (9+15)  hmm

I think I got my timings wrong, it was kyle at 3 pm local, 8 pm bst, and doubles at 10 PM.bst. I think....I find the ATP live scoring app confuses me! On my laptop it converts it, on my phone it leaves it local!

Wouldn't worry too much about Kyle, he's got some more pre-USO practice in if he ends up losing in straights. It is a week before a slam after all.
