That is a very good report, Bob. And interesting to note the comments in the thread about the lack of Challengers in Britain !

Yes.  That conversation has been going on for a few years now. Since then, the number of futures has dropped dramatically as well.

Decent win for Joe and Neal, well done!

Kyle seems to be in a tight one, 3-3 second set now.

Having watched the last three games again, twelve points in a row he made; didn't drop a single point. Great serving, effortless groundstroke power and great ball placement. When he plays like that he's good!

Top half of the draw has the seeds dropping like flies. Goffin and Dzumhur withdrew before hitting a ball and now Gilles Simon has given a walkover to Ryan Harrison. I guess everyone is erring on the side of caution before the US Open next week.

Add to the list that De Minaur and Checcinato have both lost and we are left with only 3 of the original 8 seeds by the last 16 stage. Krajinovic and Jarry had made it safely through to the L16 but Querrey is 5-5 in a 3rd set decider against Taro Daniel.

Edit

Querrey bites the dust now in a 3rd set breaker.  Poor Taro Daniel though, will have to play again later today against LL Koepfer who had a Bye in R1 and beat Sandgren yesterday. So he should be well rested.
