Go Jay..
Shame it's not the quarter yet but these are always good fun brit v brit. Both good northern lads and hoping they both perform well with Jay just shades it.
Why are there few top GB players from the south of England?
We are back to split loyalties again. Hate these. Jay is on a roll and I would love to see that continue, but Liam needs the win more than Jay right now. No idea who to support but good luck to them both and at least we get 1 GB player in the QF guaranteed.
Jay is one of my favourite British players, so tough call. But kind of favouring Liam for this one as I dont want to see him slip back after hauling himself up the rankings last year. I think for Jay it would be a minor blip as he seems to be progressing at an impressive rate.
L16: (1) Jonny O'Mara & Joe Salisbury CR 128 (86+42) vs Robert Galloway & Roberto Maytín (USA/VEN) CR 296 (164+132)
L16: Kevin King & Fabrice Martin (USA/FRA) CR 1039 (981+58) vs (2) Luke Bambridge & Neil Skupski CR 128 (82+46)
Interesting musical chairs there...
As said earlier clearly not about getting entry into here but I wonder if there's been a bit of a conference about the upcoming US Open. I would guess that those current CRs ( 128 for both pairs ) would get them in whereas Luke & Jonny's CR might not.
Edit : says he forgetting all about Ken Skupski in that. Oh, I don't really know ...

The answer to your question may be that Ken won't be there, having become a father again yesterday. As I said to him in a message, he is well on the way to producing an entire DC squad now and not just a Skupski Bros Mark 2
Just caught the end of that set. Jay served for it at *6-5 but was broken to love. He was then 3-1 up in the breaker before Liam won 6 points in a row.
Jay went over on the last point of the tiebreak and didn't get up again. There is now a mto while he receives treatment on court. This is turning into quite a day.
