I have to admit that I'm worried for Liam - he's lost 7 consecutive matches. His doubles efforts with Scott Clayton didn't come to much either, though he did much better in Granby with Aragone. Even then, they benefited from a retirement and had to win 2 MTBs in their run to the final. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for him this week.
Looking at the schedule for tomorrow, Dan is now down to play a qualifier Jeffrey John Woolf, so am assuming Granollers has dropped out which makes it a much better draw. Expect a Dan- Jay Quarter final, which would be great/ agonising.
Couldnt rule out an entire British top half in the quarters now.

Granollers must have withdrawn very recently, as the PDF is still showing the original draw. Not complaining though!
L32: (Q) Jeffrey John Wolf (USA) WR 656 (CH = 654 last December) vs Daniel Evans WR 315 (CH = 41 in March last year)
This is tremendous viewing to fill your time during the rain delay in Washington. An ambidextrous 49-year-old and a 34-year-old who has never been ranked have been given a wild card for the Lexington Challenger... Stuart Fraser (@stu_fraser)

That'd be Aaron Trent (the 49-year-old, though I'm not sure about the ambidexterous bit: the ATP says he plays right-handed) & Alan Chang. Must be some local connection...
While we're at it, one half of the other pair of wild cards is John Paul Fruttero, who is 37, but at least he has a track record in doubles - a CH of 83 in May 2012.
