heading to work now which, from the map of the fire i was checking on friday, i thought had been burned to the ground along with the houses that my wife and colleagues and are moving into today - so thankful to see it all still standing yesterday morning

Jack is broken so now 5-3*

However there have been 5 breaks in 8 games so far in this set. So not a surprising turn of events. Still backing Jack to get over the line and win his first ranking point.

Jack double faulted on MP and lost the game. Still has 5-3* though.

I was watching the interview on the news of the grandfather who lost his wife and two grandchildren in the blaze.  It was truly heartbreaking.  Hoping that the worst of the fires are now out and that everyone is safe.

Broken serving for the match at 5-2, he breaks the Chilean in the very next game to win the match!  wink

WooHoo. Jack makes it 6 breaks in 9 games to seal the match 6-3 in the third.

Another of our young hopefuls enters the rankings. Proud day for his dad no doubt too.

Glad to hear you're ok GBJ.

And amazing effort from Jack. Not an easy draw but did so well to come through.

Very good win, especially coming again after being pulled back to set all

Jack has had a smashing couple of months, it would be very nice to see him get a senior rank under 1000 before he is 17!

Yes, that's what I thought was so impressive. To come out blazing is one thing, but to actually see out the win in the third, against an experienced player like that,..... Bravo to him. And now for the next victim......smile
