Let you off, Beth+. Now Beth, have yourself a good rest prior to tomorrow.
Scheduled up first, at 11:00 local time
Meanwhile, Tara & another Dutch lady, Quirine Lemoine, are first seeds in the doubles. They had a first round bye, and a walkover in the QF, so roll right on in to the SF tomorrow! Hopefully Tara is better recovered by then.
SF: Moore/Lemoine (GBR/NED) [1] 350 v. Gonzalez/Pigossi (PAR/BRA) [3] 608
According to OER SBG will be up to 440 - only 10 behind Maia. Both rushing for the poisoned chalice of GBR #10. And both at Woking.
Projection for 06/08 ( when this week's points add ) is Beth indeed at #440 on 81 points but Maia still at #410 on her current 92 points.
Tara still GB #10 then with 97 points but yes with Laura out these 3 are effectively the provisional leaders for the GB #9, 10 & 11 spots.
Incidentally, of our 39 top 10 year end predictors, only one person has Beth in their 10. The top 9 including Laura were picked by most ( in some cases all ) folk, with the 10th spread around quite a bit. Tara was picked by 10 people, Maia by 3. Laura by 33 of us, and that ain't happening now.

Yes, frankly I was pleased she lost.
What with all these long set matches, and having to leg it back to the UK for Woking (where I assume she'll play both singles and doubles), enough's enough !
I realise it's Sam Murray who's got rather further to leg it back from (Canada rather than Portugal) and that - unless they're are zillions of SEs - both of them are in the main draw, being 19 and 20 on the entry list - but Sam is only playing doubles and Beth is running her booty off in hot Portugal - she needs a rest, poor love.
Did they do next point the winner after 20 points ?
Anyway, c'mon Beth !
PS: If looking at the ITF 'momentum' it's a bit sneaky with the first point of any set which is indicated by the first dot but without any line leading to it.

A perfect execution of a perfectly aposite callback reference, sir. My cap is well and truly doffed
I always end up stating an odd number, and, of course, that can't be right
