Isnt the problem today that chaps say ranked 950 cannot get into events ? Forgive Me if I am wrong about that . I was probably incorrectly thinking that they wanted to reduce the number of pro players and create divisions like say football leagues and so players lower down could actually get into events .
Is this a problem now that perhaps has still to be addressed?

Looking at the Shadow rankings for a couple of weeks ago, some of the girls's WTA rankings are pretty similar. A couple stand out negatively:
Emily Appleton, WTA 522, shadow WTA ranking = UNR
Emma Raducan is also unranked.
(NB Emily App does have an excellent shadow ITF ranking)
However, Sam Murray, Freya, Alicia, Beth, Ella and Emily WB are all in positive territory for their shadow WTA ranking, and are all higher ranked in the new rankings.

Although the shadow rankings for a couple of weeks ago do show Emily Appleton being UNR she did have at the time eight 1 point counters at 25K or above, which should give her a WTA ranking of about 800. OER projected rankings for 31 December agrees she will have a WTA ranking under the new system.
Emma just needs 1 counter to keep her WTA ranking, which I'm confident she will get before the end of the year.
