He didn't wink

Jay comes from 0-4 down in the breaker to take it 7-5.  Into a third set we go.

What a match. Coming back from 0-4 in the tiebreak. Crowd all behind Jay now. Cam he do it in the third. Thompson must be really rattled.

Oh yes, Jay's fine play overcomes Jay's unforced errors and finally on an UE from Thompson Jay levels.

Lots of fun, for everyone but the Aussie contingent

NB reading an old article about how Jay raised £24k on crowd funding a couple of years ago - that's a serious amount of money - wonder how he managed it.....congrats to him.

Carril has really done some brilliant work with Jay, huge benefits.

PS the article, in French, is SO SO critical of the LTA - describing Jay as being the best hope and yet completely left out in the cold etc. etc.

But, as Jay says, effectively, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - and he's come through it in style.

Allez, Jay !

OK, Jay - if you could wrap this up just in time for Poldark, that'd be appreciated

Didn't matter though. We have a Champion folks and from what I have seen, I don't just mean this week. Jay is looking more and more a top class player every time I watch him play.

Congrats to him and the whole "Clarke Clique" team.
