Come on Billy, with a break up he just needs to hold his next two service games.

but that would be too easy....cry

Youre right CD. I could kick myself sometimes for getting too excited

If we didn't get excited from time to time, life would be VERY sad...... now 5-3 to Billy so, Billy lad, vamos !!!!

And, yet again, as per Granby, if you can't serve for the match, then break for the match !

Bob - you can come out of the cupboard now ......

Cannot tell you how big a win that will be for Billy. Well, I could. But I'm not going to LOL.

Just so glad he got over the line today against someone who beat him twice last year.

Billy will play either Johan Nikles WR 724 or a qualifier. The qualifiers have only played the final round today and have not been placed yet.

Hopefully this means Billy's R2 match will be Weds which should give me a chance to be there.

These MTBs are not good for my blood pressure.  Pleased to report also that Billy was in a much better state of mind today.  He played pretty well, all in all, in a match that could have clearly gone either way.  There was one sumptuous backhand DTL winner at deuce on his own serve that we agreed was of "shot of the day" calibre.

As for the 2nd set, that was down to me moving out of my lucky chair.  Went back to it for the MTB and it worked a treat.
