Ironically Lissey's ranking is going to fall next week by about 10 places to 615, but thereafter with her 19 pts gained so far this week (net 18), she will rise about 100 places to approx WR 525-30, with her present CH at 609. So it will be a massive, encouraging leap up for Lissey.
Another win (or 2) this week and her game has really come of age. She has beaten a succession of higher players than she has won against before this (certainly consistently so), and it would be wonderful if this provides her the confidence to keep building on it now. With next week's Canadian tournament a 60k, she is not scheduled to play in it however (though Jodie, Sam and Freya are), with her current next appearance potentially being the Woking qualifiers in 2 weeks.
Everyone has been watching Katie B, Harriet, Katie S, Gabriella and Katy D surging up the rankings and I think this is Alicia shouting hang on a minute, I'm here too and I want to join the Party.

Anyone know where this form has come from? She's now 24 and starting to consistently string together wins.... I assume she was at college, but even then. Anybody able to give any insight?

To me the surprising thing is more the lull she had rather than now.
She started from college in summer/autumn 2016 and did well - I saw her beat Klaartje Liebens, who plays a very nice game, and was ranked about 500 or so, I think, maybe higher (she got up to about 290). NB Liebens is only 23 but retired from international tennis last year - real shame, don't know why.....
And I thought Alicia would motor nicely up to about 500 or so.
But it took a while, all a bit stop and start, with several sort of plateaus.
But it's great that she's getting some reward for her efforts, especially at 25k level - she's played quite a lot of them without much to show for it. And that she's now nearing that magic mark.
I want her and Beth to get nicely ensconced in the top 500. They deserve to be.
Plus Sam and Em WS to represent the 'older' players.
