A wonderful first set against the WR153. May the force continue to be with Lissey.

Bad news, Alicia has just been broken in the second set.

It is though 6-0 5-1*

More bad news, she missed out on 3 successive MPs from 40-0* in the next game.

Not a 4th though ...

6-0 6-1

What on earth happened there?! That's Alicia's first win against a top 200 player, and what a scoreline!

A scintillating win, whatever shape or form Rogowska was in. And that's Lissey's second victory over her in this tournament since she and Akiko Omae also took out Rogowska and Julia Glushko in two easy sets in the doubles... and currently look set to continue against the 4th seeds.

R2: BARNETT, Alicia (GBR) Q 615 beat ROGOWSKA, Olivia (AUS) 2 153 CH=102 2014 6-0 6-1 CH with a big bang biggrin

Alicia had a great day, but it is Ms. Murray in the doubles as referenced above, playing with Omae, that defeated Glushko/Rogowska.
However, Australian's named Olivia are taking a hell of a beating from the Brits today in Gatineau, as Ms. Tjandramulia (with Erika Sema) has just lost the first set of that doubles, 1-6 to our aforementioned Ms. Murray.
