Three very routine defeats for our three last representatives from week 29 (we won 9 total games across the six sets played).
But each of Francesca, Tiffany & Alicia gave very good account in the week as a whole, and should head into their next outing looking to repeat the form

Yes. Alicia and the others got well beaten. But getting well beaten in the semis and final is a nice step up from getting beaten (in any fashion) in the FQR, R1 or 2.
Very encouraging for all of them.
And Beth, too, had a decent week and very close to a very good week.
Bit of a random bump. For some reason I thought Alicia beat Sharma on her way to this semi final, but it was Sharma who she lost to at that stage (both Gabi and Katy did beat Astra laster in the year though). Anyway, just watching Sharma here at WTA Bogota and she has just beaten Arruabarrena 7-5 6-1 to reach her first WTA final. She will jump up to 102 in the live rankings and pretty much guarantee her place at Roland Garros. Not a bad rise from 320 to being on the brink of the top 100 in less than 9 months.
