1st Set Fran 29 points to 32
2nd set Fran 55 points to 58

So despite winning less points than her opponent in both sets Fran is level.
This has become a real battle, but no action for a while so I suspect someone is taking a break.

Fran's match took almost 3 hours with Fran serving one ace and 14 DFs. She won 124 points to her opponent's 126.

Would be nice if she could now wrap this up nicely in two, as opposed to half killing herself and hogging the court for three and a half hours and messing up the poor tournament umpire's whole planning schedule !!!

One moment Fran has a point for a 5-1 lead in the second set and the next (I had to leave the computer to sort out a delivery) it is 6-5*!

Interesting here in that Fran's next opponent is an unranked 35yr Austrian (hence approx twice Fran's age), who has scooted through the draw so far without dropping a set.
