Never heard of Mr. Ouahab. And obviously a very good player back when.
But when you look at his results sheet for the past six months, there's not much there.
Tried a couple of challengers - one with two good matches. But that's it. In his futures matches this year, he got knocked out in R2 most times, made the QFs once, did a little bit better last autumn, making the semis and a final. But not a lot really....

I have seen Lamine play, sometime ago back in 2013 he lost to Roberto Cabarlles Baena presently the world no 74 who had just put out Kyle and went on to lose in the final to PCB. At the time he was carrying a few pounds, it was a close match but somewhat of a contrast with Baena being a lean mean fighting machine.
. Lamine is a bit of a moroccan futures specialist where over the years he has won 21!!! Futures singles tittles. When watching him then 28, pop his track suit on and walk, shoulders drooped to stand in the bus queue I really felt for him. With a CH of 114 back in 2009 he was obviously very close to making the ATP main tour and their can't be too many Algerian players that achieve that.

That would have been Murcia. I was there for the Kyle v RCB match and it led to one of my epic match reports. I was also in Cartagena the following week when Kyle played PCB in the QFs. Had a fantastic two weeks following Kyle back then. That was when I first got to know him properly although I had met him briefly in Murcia the year before. It was also when I first met his coach at that time - Beechy.
