Lou Adler is a pretty standard 'journeyman' sort of tennis player. Plays a lot of events. Age 22. Makes QFs regularly. Occasionally better. Has quite an aggressive game. Has done a BA hons as well. But never really threatens to break through. Her ranking of 732 is very fair. Not easy for Tiffany, coming back from injury, Lou most definitely the favourite, but certainly playable.

Well done Tiffany! I need to stop paying attention to matches more often today, as the British players seem to be doing much better when my back is turned.
Well, about half an hour ago it looked liked the other Tiff (a French Tiphanie) was going to be Tiff's next opponent. She was 5-2 up or so in the third. And it's now 5-5. I guess Tiff will be happy the longer it gets dragged on.
And eventually Tiffany will play Tiphanie, the latter Tiff having put out 5th seeded Fiona Codina (who I know CD doesn't rate much)... And yes, I also thought this match was going to be over much quicker than it eventually was - Tiphanie won 7-6(1) in the third after being 5-1 up.
