Bob - the remainers are just filling the news with lots of scare stories. You will not be impacted too much.
The EU are stringing the deals out to scare off more potential countries that want to leave and break up the EU. The majority of the arrangements are in place.NI has a fall back and if no trade deal is agreed(it will, it in both countries interests) then WTO rules is not that bad an option. It is what we use for the rest of the world.
Don't worry.
Looks like the deal has been done as predicted. EU stringing it out to scare off other members still...
Watch the pound strengthen and the stock market recover - British banks were heavily hit...
It's bizarre. It's been obvious for months that there was no deal that May could agree with the EU that would be acceptable to parliament. But months of painstaking negotiation and countless cash has been spent on negotiation anyway. And even now we know that is the case, we're still going to do some more negotiating before the inevitable vote happens.
Meanwhile the clock ticks to a no deal that everyone sane realises will be a disaster (and the Secretary of Health says will kill people). It's nightmarish.
I mean I was a little light headed perhaps even dazed by the leave win but will people suddenly just drop dead as a result of a no deal? I am fascinated. Boris promised a windfall for the NHS, he should be held to it, reminded of it every time he opens his mouth.
I am not a constitutional expert but presuming may loses the parliamentary vote, I don't see where she can go. She can't go back to negotiate with eu. Sorry guys no one liked our plan. All credibility will be lost on every front. Surely that leads to a vote of no confidence and a new election and then presumably a new referendum or is that last point not valid? And meanwhile we can only leave with no Deal or extend article 50 til we sort the mess out.
Yep, what has been "agreed" is currently as useful as a chocolate fireguard, just there's much more clarity about what's going to happen with a chocolate fireguard.
