A few thoughts for the song list, in no real order:

The Beatles: Revolution

John Denver: I'm leaving, on a jet plane

Fleetwood Mac: Sing me lies, sing me sweet little lies

Jacques Brel: Ne me quitte pas

Frank Sinatra: Send in the Clowns

Brexit

Brexit
The English are the pariahs of Europe.
Before letting them go back to Europe, they have to agree to meet the standards.
1. Render Gibraltar to the Spaniards.
2. Make Northern Ireland Irish.
3. Adopt right-hand drive for all vehicles.
For that it would be enough simply to prohibit the circulation of all vehicles with the steering wheel on the right on the French territory.
4. Require all students from Grade 6 to learn French as a second language.
Eurotunnel allows them to arrive in France while almost no English speaks our language.
5. Use the euro as the single currency United Kingdom.
The English are not the masters of the world they live on a very small pebble lost at sea and they are more and more on the decline.

Hi Zikiss - I wondered if you had any thoughts on the Davis Cup final being played in Lille this weekend, I really hope France cam get back today pull off a surprise upset, big day ahead.

You may also have noticed our Strongest Nations table, France on the mens side led the league for a short while this year but have fallen back. Still way ahead of Britain but do you fear French tennis is losing its way a little at the moment?

BTW 35 percent of the world drives on the left and it started that way before cars when swordsmen needed their right hands to use their swords, it was the French revolution which changed things when the aristocrats were overturned and wanted to blend with the peasants. So I guess lots of views will be held on which side of road to drive on is correct

Hi Zikiss. I can sort of understand why you feel as you do, but I am curious to understand why you chose to post your comments here on what is primarily a tennis forum? Also I would say, as a generalisation that the majority of our members are pro the EU (76% voted remain) and most are very anxious that we should continue to have a close relationship with our European neighbours going forward. As such I don't believe we are particularly representative of the views of the nation as a whole. I speak French reasonably fluently and am very much a francophile, and do not think I am alone in being horrified at the behaviour of some of the extreme Brexiteers and utterly dismayed at the shambolic way in which our government has handled the negotiations. I feel embarrassed at how we are viewed by other EU nationals and I'm still hoping we get the opportunity to vote on the deal which is on the table and perhaps with the new voters who have turned 18 since the original referendum, we could just get enough to overturn the original decision. Having said this, I still wonder what you hoped to achieve by posting what might be viewed as rather extreme views?

I apologise to any forum members who feel I am misrepresenting their views, as I absolutely respect the right of every individual to express their opinion democratically and I certainly mean no disrespect to anyone. I am just trying to make generalisations from the stats which have been collected.

Thank you JonH - and as a PS to Zikiss, I love the English language as well as French, and enjoy the freedom to express what I think in any language.

Maybe I should go to a French tennis forum and post something in English and see the response?
