This is an excellent interview with Judy around her new book and on a number of topics, with the one highlighted in the url being but one. Wasn't sure quite where to put it, so hope it is ok here in Andy's section, as there is a strong focus on him too.
I bought the hardback version of the book when it first came out, and it is a good read. The article above gives a very brief summary of what the book is about.
Brilliant article, thanks Michael. Some quite disturbing, but not surprising stuff about the LTA and Tennis Scotland. Also surprised by the sexism still in the game. Good on Judy for being so honest.
I just finished Judy's book, very well worth a read. What an amazing pool of talent she unearthed for her first U10 tennis festival held in Dunblane...Baltacha, Fleming, Baker etc. Hard to believe there were zero tennis competitions for U10 age groups at the time. Criminal from The Scottish Institute of Sport not to help with the tennis development costs by saying "We are not interested in junior top 50, only in senior top 50". What a joke, if they didn't get funding they would never make senior top 50...and in the senior top 50 they wouldn't need funding.
