Week 27 - USA F19 ($25,000) - Wichita, KS (hard)

L16: (7) Martin Redlcki (USA) WR 728 (CH = 702 in April) beat (Q) Joel Cannell WR 1398 2-6 7-6(3) 7-6(3)

Pity about the result but that must be one of Joel's strongest performances in a while against a seeded player.

Good stuff, Ryan's 2 points so far take him to 21 points and a point ahead of some Andy Murray chap, who is now live GB #23.

QF:  (Q) Reese Stalder (USA) UNR vs Ryan Peniston WR 855

Despite the lack of a ranking, Stalder saw off the fourth seed, Collin Altamirano, by 3 & 1!

He's even further ahead than you think.  This is a 25k which means he has earned 3 points.  Andy has some serious catching up to do.

At this time of year, when I see (USA) UNR, in an American futures, I take very little notice.  Some many college players around who make the lower rankings almost meaningless at times.

Wow yes, 2 points ahead. That's a 15K QF ahead.

So that is a good indication of where Joel would sit in US College tennis, Redlicki is a two time NCAA doubles champion, 2017 with McKenzie Macdonald and again this year, also top singles player. He is Kyle and Cam's cohort but did all 4 years. Realistically I can see him as a specialist doubles play (he's a big lad), won the US Open junior doubles.

Ryan wins his QF and plays his semi later today. Some serious points being added here, into to the top 800 now.
