Naomi played ok. Frustrating to think if she could play like that against her opponents in her typical 100k and smaller WTA events she would probably be comfortably in the top 100.

Awful start from Gabi, *0-5 and 5-22 in terms of points. Looks to be really struggling at this higher level as out of her 20 odd wins over the winter period, I'm not sure if any were top 200 or very few were if so. Might just take her a bit more time and not writing her off, but doesn't look like she has the weapons of some of the others her age when at the time, it looked like she may be the most promising.

Would love to see her turn this around but it's looking very unlikely and like one of those typical wildcard performances that have been criticised in the past.

30-30 now, so a chance to at least get on the board.
