I think Bertens will come through and hoping she does a Williams Double. Serena has met no opponent with any weight of shot so far Rodina was terrible today

Despite the exits, those are four very intriguing matchups, and eight good, exciting players on their day left to battle it out.
They've somehow contrived to cobble together a pretty great QF line-up from the ashes of the seedings.

Despite being a seed, Bertens is probably the most random QF out of those given her record away from clay and that she was 3-5 at Wimbledon before this tournament, but she has beaten 2 top 10 seeds in Venus and now Pliskova so certainly deserves her place in the last 8.

 I am afraid that a combination of the incident when Williams hid from the drug tester, her threatening a line judge and her bizarre (and unexplained) behaviour in a Wimbledon dubs match have made me deeply suspicious of her.  As far as I'm concerned I become an instant fan of any of her opponents!

there are numerous examples of sporting legends with loathsome personalities and she is one of them, I can't admire her sporting achievements if I can't respect her as a person

I wonder whether the same opinions are had for Sharapova... Serena gets a LOT of hate - due to her build and being black. I personally dislike Federer, but I can still appreciate how incredible his career has been. To have an opposing opinion against Serena due to a few moments... ridiculous!

 I mentioned her personality, her physical appearance has nothing to do with it, I've always admired Venus for being the exact opposite of Serena personalitywise
