Marcus and injured...not surprised. Would Aidan have a say in his partner? not sure how doubles partnerships work to be honest.
CD - are you going tomorrow to watch the women? Your reports are great.

Cheers, flamingowings - and yes is the answer
My meanderings to follow later.....
NB tramlines, the idea of Marcus with Brydan makes a lot more sense - good to know there was a bit of method behind the madness, even if it didn't work out as planned.
Watching Lloyd and Ed. They cant get any traction against the Krajicek serve. If theyre going to break, its likely to be against Nedunchezhiyan. Won a few points with some nice lobs. Think they should avoid jousting at the net. Opponents have won most of the points where two or more players exchanging volleys. Think they have to be a bit more aggressive and make rallies shorter.
Lloyd and Ed lost the first set 7-6 (5). They had their chances. A lovely cross court forehand from Lloyd put them a mini break up. Then Lloyd had the chance to put away a shot at the net but got caught in two minds and did neither.
Ed and Lloyd not completely outclassed but their opponents just had the edge in doubles craft: their defensive lobs just that bit higher; better use of tramlines and better at the net. That all sounds comprehensive but as I say it was fine margins.

Interesting to hear your assessment, Nix. Many thanks.
