A good performance but Alice and Ema lose to the 3rd seeds Nadia Echeverria Alam/ Merel Hoedt (VEN/NED) 4-6 3-6.

Well a promising start for Ema here today. After falling an early break behind, 1-3, she then won 5 of the next 6 games to take the first set 6-4.
And despite serving 3 DFs in it, Ema manages to save 2 BPs and come through the first game of the 2nd set unscathed.

Ema gave it a good go, but in the end her serving wasn't good enough, especially in the last two sets where she only won 1 service game per set.
