Dare we hope for an all-Brit final?

Hell yes.  Go Skupskis.

Ken and Neal take the 1st set 6-3. We are one set away from an all GB final in an ATP event on home soil. Not sure that will have happened all too often.

And an all-GB final it is!  biggrin

SF:  Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 98 (53+45) defeated Ryan Harrison & Nicholas Monroe (USA/USA) CR 91 (44+47) by 3 & 3

*****

Final:  (WC) Luke Bambridge & Jonny O'Mara CR 189 (91+98) vs Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 98 (53+45)

Desperately divided loyalties with that one!  hmm

But what a fabulous dilemma to have!

Normally I hate ALL GB match ups, but in the final of an ATP event, I can live with it.  wink

Fantastic effort from all 4 of them and I don't have a clue who I want to win.

Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins beat Ken and Jamie Delgado in this very event in 2012.

This will be a rematch of the Surbiton final which Luke and Jonny won.

If it happens before the final, it seems a shame that only one can go through (though at least one is guaranteed!). At least in the final you know they've out-lasted everyone else in the tournament.

Thats exactly how I feel. Once theyve reached the final theyve already done decently in terms of points and prize money.

The only thing is, I really enjoy having a side to cheer on. Divided loyalties make that hard. But its a nice dilemme to have.

Great stuff. If you're going to get your first ATP tour doubles win, you might as well get a 2nd and a 3rd while you're at it and maybe ...

All the best to Luke and Jonny and err all the best to Ken and Neal.

Luke & Jonny do it again:

Final:  (WC) Luke Bambridge & Jonny O'Mara CR 189 (91+98) defeated Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 98 (53+45) by 5 & 4  smile  cry

I reckon they could give Kubot & Melo a bit of a run for their money at Wimbledon....

Luke's first volley after serving is as good as anyones at the moment. Fully deserved it, they were up against it in the first as well.

A thoroughly enjoyable match.
