Not that bad looking efforts by our 4 juniors considering how hugely lacking experience they are at such a level and generally hugely out ranked they were. Probably about as much as could be realistically hoped for.
Good stuff so far from those who are much more ready for this level.
Amusing that he can't seem to put a foot wrong as far as the unctious commentators are concerned now !! Will he get through this week without being 'antsy Dan' I wonder and if he does , will they still love him (like we do !!).
Tennis wise, he really isn't putting a foot wrong! It was a very good performance. For me, the telling stat is break points: 0/2 for Ivashka and 2/10 for Dan. 10 BPs in a 2 set grass court match! Dan could have won the much more easily.
If Dan can maintain this level, it won't be long before he is top 100, but it won't necessarily be a smooth ride. Throughout his comeback I've watched most of his matches) , Dan has shown real determination. Yes, there have been some lapses in concentration, but this is to be expected.
Did someone say that there were points at stake in qualifying?
I believe it goes 8/16/25 plus 10 for 1st round

Thanks both. From whence does this knowledge accrue, prithee?
A more accessible break down of points at all levels of event is on the ATP website: https://www.atpworldtour.com/en/rankings/rankings-faq you need to scroll down to and click on points breakdown.
