Week 26 - Wimbledon men's qualifying singles, Roehampton, Great Britain (grass)

Tough draw for Dan, but if he's going to qualify he'll have to beat a seed somewhere along the line, and probably better to face the top player in the first round rather than in the final round best of 5. Last year Court 11 was the show court which was televised, so if it's the same this year Tomic, Dan, Casper Ruud and Donald Young will be all streamed.

Yes, it does say Court  11 will be  televised - on  the Wimbledon website (I think).

Yes, you're quite right, JC. From the Wimbly web site:

How do I follow it?

Live coverage of the main show court (Court 11) will be available via Wimbledon.com and the AELTCs broadcast partners, including BBC in the UK and ESPN in the US.

Few of the opponents have much of a track record on grass - apart from Ivashka, Zopp has qualified once, Davidovich Fokina is the reigning junior champion and King reached the quarters this week at Ilkley

Yes. It's not a bad set of draws. Given that the juniors were always going to be wildly outranked, with whoever.

And Evo has got to aim high, so an easy QR1 is not what it's all about really for him.

Several more clay courters there.....

Evans and 2 from the 3 of Glasspool, J Ward, A Ward to progress is my prediction.

Due to be full sun and 30 degrees today.

Grass court tennis might not be long rallies but some people are going to find it tough.

And the courts will be very hard.

Did someone say that there were points at stake in qualifying?

I believe it goes 8/16/25 plus 10 for 1st round
