Great result for Harriet.
And takes out her previous CH win of 94 from Manchester. Now 78.

A best ever win. Of active players only Jo, Hev, Laura, Naomi & Tara now have a better CH win.
A shame it's in one of the 64 draw Premier 12's, where you get scant comparative points rewards for the achievement - only the same as a first round win in an International.
Symbolically greater value, of course.

Still, all the emoticons, Harriet; all the emoticons. Very much deserved.

Definitely looks like Harriet is no longer under the guidance of the JTC tennis coaches.
The backhand down the line is very consistent.
Pliskova doesn't know how to play Harriet - keeps changing her tactics and nothing is really working.

Yes, I think this is the sea change. She always had all the attributes, both tennis and athletic, but someone has helped here suddenly put it all in place, with a go-to gameplan.

If so, well done on her for making the change. You have to quite brave to do that.

And maybe JTC want to consider what they could have done differently...... (they're not doing a very good job with their stable of other players, to be frank)

Loved Harriet's backhand, confidence and net play there. Has a good first serve too when she is not falling forward to hit it. A great win, even if Pliskova seemed rather disinterested after they changed the court - she definitely did not want to play the third set this evening, but that Harriet could keep her focus despite all that was another big positive for her. On that small evidence Harriet has a big enough game to go somewhat higher yet.

Yes, me too, shame we couldn't have seen the decider. First time I have seen Harriet play and I can see why she  has had such a good summer. She could cause a few upsets at Wimbledon without a doubt. Really impressed with her attitude and confidence.
