I remember watching this match, the level of both players was that of another planet. It was one of the most brutal matches of recent times. Sadly it looks like it may have ended the careers of both players. Neither have been the same since.
Will either of them ever coming back and realistically challenge for grand slams?

I think it is hard to attribute any particular event to the end of most players careers although there are occasional exceptions, Monica Seles career never really recovered from that horrendous attack on court she sufferered in 1993.
Murray and Wawrinka have been a privilege to watch, their bodies have just taken a relentless pounding since childhood and showing the wear and tear you would expect to see after a decede of success at the highest level.
Murray will have to do Roger, I can see Murray quitting clay season though, just to prolong his career, is just too much strain on his body.
I agree with you
Yes, me too. Especially as the French comes just before the grass court season. Why take the risk and screw up Queens and Wimbledon just for a bit of red dust stuff that kills you....

I think the gap between Wimbledon and French should stay at 3 weeks, but Queens should be moved to 2 weeks after wimbledon and be made Master 1000.
