He - or his dad - had all that hoo-hah with the LTA. Mega noise and fuss. He could well have lived on that for years, playing the hard-done-by card (I've heard several players' parents sounding like broken records - not saying they don't have a point but it doesn't get you anywhere and sometimes I feel the attitude itself is as much to blame as the LTA's shortcomings)
But Isaac's gone to uni, got a degree, got a scholarship, played uni tennis, and now (just turned 22) trying his hand - very successfully for the moment - at the pro tour.
Indeed Coup. I remember the hoo-hah and, though like everyone else had no idea of the actual details I always felt sorry for Isaac as he came over as caught in the middle of it. No idea if that was the reality but, I have often seen his name in qualies or BT without much happening. Now to see these results clocking in certainly makes good reading and can't help but feel pleased for the chap. I am just hoping it is the springboard for much more.
