Gave you palpitations, eh, Indy?

He did it the hard way, but he did it.

Into the final, Isaac

Edit since it became past information

MPs 5 & 6 went from *6-3, but not a 7th  biggrin

10 points for reaching the final. With these and last week's 2 points Isaac is up nearly 1000 places to provisionally live ranked for a week on Monday about WR 950 and GB #27.

Amazing what Isaac has achieved this week having come through 3 rounds of qualies. His performance is what is known in Africa as "doing a Loffhagen".

Can Isaac go one better and take the title ? Let's hope so. Been an amazing week already though regardless of what happens next.

Sussex uni's 'finest' is putting up a good fight.

In his first final, Isaac lost the first set 2-6. But is 4-1 up in the second against the top-500 Argentinian

Sadly, not to be:

Final:  (1) Matías Franco Descotte (ARG) WR 497 defeated (Q) Isaac Stoute WR 1923 by 2 & 5

Made him work for the final game, but too many double faults again:  eleven this time.  Still a good week for him.

THere's a decent article about Isaac's recent success in uni tennis, and stating that he intends to give the pro circuit a go after graduation:

Very good to see him reaching the final. But let's be honest, the standard of a zimbabwe futures is probably below futures and more like Uk university.
