Great performance from Dan, played some superb points.
Live rankings not updated yet, but that will leapfrog him above Johny Gray and Luke Bambridge to GB #12

Chardy or Kudla in the semi-final, with Chardy a set to the good...

SF:  (1) Jérémy Chardy (FRA) WR 86 vs (Q) Dan Evans WR 858

Chardy eventually won in three sets.

If melzer was dans best win on his return so far, chardy will be his toughest test so far. chardy beat Dan in DC QF in 2017, in 3 sets albeit on clay. Possibly Dan was just about to get caught at Barcelona as well a week or two later

So therefore it logically follows that if Melzer was not his best win, Chardy would not be his toughest test to date.confuseconfuse

Great news to cheer me up on my long journey home. Well played Dan. How do we stand with the SE for Nottingham now ? Is the situation from Poznan any clearer ? So difficult to keep up on an iPhone with a dodgy signal.
