Week 23 - Challenger (€127,000) - Fuzion 100 Trophy - Surbiton, Great Britain (grass)

Would he get an SE because he wouldn't be able to sign in for qualies? Are SE's at the tournament director's discretion, i.e. they would give Dan one only because he's a Brit?

There are two SE's. The two highest ranked eligible players will recieve them. You need to be still playing in a similar level tournament in the same continent when qualifying starts to be eligible e.g. you can go challenger > challenger but not challenger > ATP.

Ah in that case there's loads of guys still involved at Poznan who could trump Dan

Technically your probably right but a lot of those guys would surely rather take the SE into another clay court challenger next week.

I wonder if the Poznan tennis spectators 'do the Poznan'.

Anyway carry on ...

Actually there were two breaks, Dan in the 9th game, and then Melzer broke back in the 10th with a dead net-cord.

Ha! Following on live scoring so must have dropped off!

Evo is living dangerously with all these BPs conceded... getting away with it so far though.

Pressure on the Melzer serve this game.

Chardy or Kudla in the semi-final, with Chardy a set to the good...
