Impressed with Liam today - if he's converted a set point in the 1st set tiebreak, who knows how it might have turned out.

I wish.  Spotted that one in southern Spain a few years ago.  Tweeted the picture to "Dino" and told him I had found his car.  He thought it was funny.

I had a great day yesterday, I came back with a very good sun tan!

I watched Liam's first set - very long and close tie breaker that could have gone either way.

Dan v. TF - TF cuts a tiny figure!  He must be one of smallest guys on tour at 5'8" and 69Kg.  With both players lacking height, it is perhaps not suprising that there were loads of breaks of serve - 5 in the first set alone in a set of just 10 games.  That must be rare in men's grass court tennis at this level.   Mark Hilton was sitting on the players' guests bench, along with a couple of other guys I didn't recognise.  There was the usual chuntering from Dan and at one point he received a code violation for an audible obscenity. I couldn't hear what he said as I was at the other end of the court.

Lots of slices from Dan, he only came over the ball on his bh when he had to hit a passing shot. Very much the style of play we have come to expect.   Both players  dealt with poor bounces extremely well, and duff bounces were not uncommon.

They were both focused and professional in their approach.  The handshake at the end was warm and genuiine.

I thought Dino was going to win handily against Stakhovsky, he looked very much in control in the first set.  His returns, esp against 1st serves were really strong and his weight of shot was good.  I rejoined the match towards the end of the final set.  Maybe Sergei was serving slightly better.  Close but no cigar for Dino.

Shame Re Wardy, stakhovsky though has got grass pedigree, beating Federer of course in 2013 at Wimbledon. So he knows how to play on grass

Dan should be looking to really build on this, Moraing is within his capability. he then would get a days break - in the last 8 he could play Jurgen Melzer and he has played and beaten the veteran Austrian before , at Queens in 2014 on grass, albeit in a 3rd set TB. So Melzer is older now and Dan is probably hungry, so that would be winnable, as I would expect Melzer to beat Kevin King.

Not going to be easy against Moraing. 6'6" left hander who served 22 aces in beating Fratangelo in the last round. Only 56% first serves in, but won 88%. Dan should still beat him though.
