Despite Mr Stelling's mockery, which I confess I don't entirely understand, Cam lives to fight another day, taking the third set by 7-5 & the match into a fourth set at least. smile Perhaps that set will help steady his (understandable) nerves.

2 sets up and a seemingly struggling opponent?! Not gonna happen.

fair play to Cam Id written him off. But he went on and Pouille went very off near the end. Well done that man!!!

Looks a very good effort by Cam especially with not feeling good.

Was just following bits of scoring but saw that Cam was a break down midway through the third set, broke back and then saved 2 BPs in the following game.

Cracking effort from a guy who was playing college tennis 12 months ago and had never played on clay! I think we can forgive a lack of experience, loved the grit he showed to hang in there at no point did he look like quiting. Plenty of strengths on which to build. The main differences between Cam and Pouille for me was strength, conditioning and consistent things that will take at least a couple of years playing on the ATP tour to develop. It will be great to watch him progress . Bring on tomorrow .

I love the camaraderie and support that Cam still has with, and gets from, his college team.

He's often mentioning them in tweets, and his old coach and team are often tweeting about him.

In the rather lonely world of pro tennis, I think it adds an important extra layer of a great support network
