Well done Cam - I missed most of the first set, settled down to watch part-way through the second and that was that!

Ditto. Got up this morning, turned on to find Cam 2-0 up in the second and 4 points later it was all over.

Pity for Gojowczyk but will absolutely take the win anyway it comes at this level.  With all the hard work and progress that Cam has made over the 12 months since turning pro, I would not begrudge him some luck from time to time.  He has earned it just by getting there.

On another note, I see Trungelliti's 9-hour dash from Barcelona to RG to take up that LL place has paid big dividends as he has just beaten Tomic to make R2.

Anyone know why the match before Kyle's (Stosur v Wickmayer) is showing as interrupted?

Edit - it was only that one a few minutes ago but now they all are, rain presumably cry

Good strong win, well done Kyle. Fucsovics and Pouille next then for both our guys: Kyle crushed MF in Winston Salem last August, obviously on hard court but nonetheless. Fucsovics won Geneva last week, so will be confident but he may also be tired from that week.

Gotta go with Kyle progressing, maybe in 4 sets,

Cam v Pouille - Cam could get into Pouille's head. Looking at stats, French Open and clay are probably behind hardcourt as his best surface although he has a decent record in Monte Carlo. Nonetheless I think Pouille will be favourite to prevail, although clearly I hope Cam gets through against him.
