Which is pretty much a dictionary definition of trolling.

Ok Vandy, take it easy, you don't need to make it over personal. And just to note I am a Guardian reader by the way, which in my view is the single publication that most defends the freedom of speech and of democracy in this country, as for instance its role in revealing the Windrush scandal, the use of the 322(5) anti-terrorist section to deny skilled migrants ILR visas, and every other filthy immigration trick that this government has been pulling for a while.

So yes, I'll defend your freedom of speech, as long as you keep it within reason and don't over personalise it, and I'll defend the Guardian's role as being a paper that is absolutely about the truth and the debunking of the lies and deceits of those that do manipulate power... Next criticism?

I would have thought Stircrazy was more on the other side of the Guardian, based on my experiences of our debates.

Anyway clay court season is finished for the Brits, so this would be a nice line to draw under things.

The dwarf was 2 sets down against Anderson, and now has leveled it for a decider, he must be the hardest working player on tour, has no major weapons, just massive work ethic. Respect to him.

Not just two sets down, but two sets down having won just the three games and getting absolutely creamed. Comes back to win two very tight sets and then wins the fifth 6-2. Amazing comeback. Seems a very Ferrer-esque player.

Liking the form of del Potro here, could hurt Nadal if they play.

M. Cecchinato DEF N. Djokovic
Awful results for tennis here, Djoko had a chance to stop Nadul in the final, and you have to give him credit, some people like Roger Frauderer skip the french open, not so that they can be fresh for wimbledon, but actually they are scared of getting routed by Nadul in 6-0, 6-0, 6-2 style.

All we can hope for now is that Thiempark can routine 3 set this Italian imposter, meaning he is fresh for Nadul in the final. Thiem is now the prefered choice of winner for the Frog Open.

why is cecchinato an imposter? He's played well this week and whilst he has history, that ban was overturned and he therefore has a clean sheet in terms of the match fixing situation. You may say no smoke without fire, but he's been cleared by a court of law.

His one handed backhand was lovely when I saw it and he played well. But I'd be surprised if Thiem doesn't beat him.

The report on the Cecchinato/Djokovic match in today's Times is accompanied by some salient facts about the former's background, including this:

Suspended for alleged match-fixing in 2016, but was cleared on a technicality after the Italian national federation missed a deadline during his appeal process.  He had been accused of losing on purpose at a Challenger event in 2015.

I fail to see, however, how that entitles Vanden-bloody-burg to brand him as an imposter.  Does he actually know the mean of the word?  disbelief

Anyone else feel this forum is getting overrun by a few individuals?

Used to enjoy it much more here. If it wasn't for the Bob's and Wolf's I probably wouldn't bother. (Awaits stircrazy to tell me it's actually wolves)

I post a lot less than I used to. But it's still a good forum!

No. There is of course some noise, often for just noise's sake. But in the grand scheme of things not overrun, and to my mind the good submerges any supposed ( and probably inevitable to some extent ) bad / arguments / baiting, which is much less than in so many places and can often be skipped if one really wants to.
