Not a lot in it so far, and Jay has certainly had his chances. The main difference between the two so far has been Tomic's serve imo. It has allowed him to set up a lot of easy second shot putaway opportunities.
The Aussie's managing to disrupt Jay's rhythm from the back of the court. Lots of slices, drop shots, flat forehands. Not a particularly comfortable afternoon's work for Jay so far.
Managed to get link working and match has finished. Mind you there are some crazy live matches and e matches across a range of sports, could be up all night watching that stuff!
Re tennis, I guess if the real Tomic turns up, Clarkey wouldnt stand a chance at the moment; good learning I hope and off to the grass for him.
Jay lost 6-3, 6-1. Guess Tomic showed his class today. All good experience for Jay though! Some impressive performances on the dirt over the past few months, shows how far he's come in a year that he's winning matches on the clay in GS qualifying.
Yes, not often you see Jay get that much of a beating and probably not likely to happen very often at the level he is used to competing at. Disappointing but I'm sure his team will help him learn from such a chastening experience and turn it into a positive.
