OMG that was painful !

Heather really needs to find some form with lots of ranking points to defend but its a relief to finally see her record a long overdue win.

7 places ranking wise with that win though and Fanny Stollar is beatable in the next round. Could get a couple of wins going here with luck and confidence going into Paris

Ah, nice long Highland walk on Monday, a few drinks, zonk out until after midday, check scores. No drama

Well done, Heather.

Must admit that at having lost the second set, I thought Heather was done for so didnt pay close attention through the third. It was a welcome relief therefore to see the end result.

Great job in getting through that (and would be super if she could follow it up) so that she goes into the vital grass court season for her feeling a bit more confident in herself.

Well done!

How many MPs was that Heather missed before getting over the line? I counted at least 5 from the above posts, and then don't know how many of the final 3 MPs she needed... But great to see Heather finally stumble over a line Jonny Brownlee style...

I think she got the first of the final 3 MPs but I might have remembered wrongly.

She missed 3 (at least) at 5-4, then I couldn't bear to watch any more!  I came back and found she had won the tie break. There were an enormous number of break points, she had 7 out of 20 odd, when I was watching, Katerina only slightly less at 6/14!

39 BPs in 3 sets - glad I couldn't watch it - another Hev classic.
