Week 26 - ATP 250 - Nature Valley International - Eastbourne, Great Britain (grass)

Interesting comment on prime commentary that Andy hasn't applied for PR and is relying on WCs.

What's his reasoning for this? can he use the WC's now and delay using his PR?

Surely he can't always have such tough draws, can he?

Del Potro- as mentioned in the on court post match interview - says hello. That said, nobody wants Andy either in R1 - works both ways!

Though he wouldn't even have needed his PR here if he had entered. His normal ranking was high enough at the entry date. It was just that Eastbourne hadn't originally been in his plans so that's why he has a WC. And he is a direct entrant to Wimbledon.

Don't know about post Wimbledon entries but using or not using his PR has not been an issue to date.

Well there you go. After my earlier doubts about live-tennis, openerarankings has added Jay's 20 points and now also has him at a live ranking of 217 so it must have reduced some other players' points.

And a 217 ranking would represent a CH by 2 places. Though still quite a number of players can overtake Jay's current live points.

If Cam wins today it will be the first time in how many years I wonder that there has been 2 BritvBrit matches in the last 16 of an ATP event. I cant remember it happening, certainly not in the last 10 years anyway. Any statos know the answer? Hope Im not tempting fate here.

Brands is a very difficult proposition on grass... hope I'm wrong though!

Just slightly serve dominated set. Cam leads 4-3 in total return points won in the set.
