ranking point question (sorry if already been answered). Does Jay get the points for losing in the final qualifying round + the points for round 2 i main draw, or as a LL does he just get the points for round 2 main draw?

Pretty sure he will just get the 20 points for today's win plus the 6 points for the win in QR1.

On the doubles side, Luke & Jonny have just taken the 1st set on a rollercoaster TB from Dom +

Jonny/Luke were *5-1 up then 5-6* down before taking it 8-6

It is as folk have said. Though in general terms I prefer your second suggestion and it is what the WTA do.

If the ATP and WTA got together and in all the things re rankings that they do differently they could agree to both choose to do the better way ( ie what I think is the better way  ) we'd have two better ranking points systems. And life would be simpler.

 I would be totally onboard with this to be honest.

ATP website is better than WTA's and I don't understand why WTA has such odd points totals...like men is so simple 250, 500 etc.
