Freya and Lissey are both in the qualifying draw. Really annoyingly, with 8 places available, they are drawn to meet each other in the FQR, so at best only one of them can qualify Both will play a Korean in QR2
Freya through here so far 6-0 6-1 to the FQR, Lissey stlll to show. Chances are they will play each other in the FQR, as noted earlier, so only one of them can gain even a single point Anywhere else in the draw would have done for Lissey.

I hope this up to date ranking is correct, I just looked up the latest rankings on the WTA page and they were all over the shop. Jo was UK number 1 at about 46, Gabby number 2 at 95, Heather was down to UK number 5. I checked a few minutes later and it had all changed.

Think you'd have been looking at the 'race' rankings as they seem about right.

Yes, I did wonder if they had got mixed up some way. I clicked the same button a few minutes later and the right rankings so I don't know what happened.
Oh dear, I do dislike these British matches. I think I'm rooting for Freya just because she's been injured and younger, so for me has more potential. saying that I know nothing of Alicia's journey, and a British win is a British win.
