With whoever comes out on top to play the winner of Nishikori v Djokovic.

Hadn't actually looked that far ahead after today's performance, Bob!  cry

He should be fine SC because I will (probably) be there to cheer him on.  Planning to be there for Sun/Mon when most of the R1 matches are being played.  Just hope they don't schedule him for Tuesday.

Not as terrible as it sounds given they are both, particularly Djokovic, are still coming back from injury/surgery layoffs.

Kyle will not beat Novak or Kei, you can take that to the bank, and Medvedev is 50/50 at best.

agreed nishikori certainly is playing ok and will beat djoko.  Can't see kyle beating him, nishikori has a strong clay game

My decision to go may well depend on Kyle's result in his doubles SF in Portugal today. If he and Cam win, the final will be tomorrow. That probably means Kyle will travel on Monday and be scheduled for his R1 match on Tuesday. Unfortunately Tuesday is a non starter for me for work reasons and no point going up for Sun/Mon if there is no British interest.

Not that I am saying I hope Kyle/Cam lose in Portugal today wink

L24:  (5) Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares (BRA) CR 27 (13+14) vs BYE

Robin Haase & JJR or Santiago González & Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi in the last 16.  Peers is back with Kontinen & seeded third.

I am frantically clicking "refresh" on the OoP page to see when tomorrow's list comes out. Still an outside chance I might make the trip if Kyle is down to play tomorrow evening but I can't see it happening, following his doubles triumph in Estoril today.

Confirmed. Kyle NOT on the OoP for tomorrow. So no trip for Bob and no court side reporting either, I'm afraid.

Djoko has just beaten Nishikori in straight sets, 5&4

With Nishikori having QF points from last year coming off, Kyle had moved ahead of him to live ranked 21 which would be a further CH. Kyle will now clearly finish the week ahead of Kei.

Kyle will have to win at least two matches to have a chance of top 20 with Chung and Fognini in his sights.
