Katie's next opponent won't be known for a few hours, but could well be the only other seed left - Giulia GATTO-MONTICONE (ITA) 3 WR289 - who Katie B beat in the SF at Obidos recently

Bouzkova was apparently feeling discomfort in her leg during the last game of yesterday's singles match. She later started the doubles match but retired after 15 minutes at 0-5

Ah well, can't be helped; Katie can save her energies for the SF :)

So that's one quarter finalist through.

I make it among the ladies we have a further 7 in various QFs. They are likely to have to work harder !

Japan 60 K ( Naomi, Katie B and Katy D ), China 60K ( Harriet ), Korea 25K ( Maia ), Sweden 15K ( Fran ) and Trinidad & Tobago 15K ( Emily App ). Naomi plays Katie B.

That looks not bad to me.

No problem 10-5 and into another final

Olivia now guaranteed a ranking within the top 300 on 21/5 smile

She will then be the 13th GB player within the top 300 doubles. Emily A will be next in line, but playing only 15ks is a slower process.

They are a lovely little story; echoes of Jossanna.

Intuition good as ever!

Ties for our best week in 2017-2018 YTD for Tournament penetration to QF+

Now to set records for SF, F & WINS

The doubles final isn't until 7.30 this evening local time and Beth is in qualifying tomorrow in the 60K Saint-Gaudens.
