Week 18 - Challenger ($75,000) - Savannah, GA, USA (clay)

In terms of standard the worst match I have seen for many years. Clarke is a lower level challenger player at best. He will do well to ever break the top 100.

Lol. You seriously musn't watch much tennis at all then or are err just being alternative.

Jay is currently at a very similar place to where Kyle was at the same age in ranking and in challenger success and is live ranked #10 under 20 yo in the world. A good place.

Got anything like all the answers yet? Of course not as he continues to develop. But learning his trade at still age 19, mixing with seasoned challenger players very competitively and coming along well. Already a challenger runner-up and 4 other challenger QFs in the last year ( 2 in these last few weeks on clay ).

Kyle won his first challenger event shortly after his 20th birthday. That to me looks fairly likely to come to Jay too before too long.

Yeah come on Vandy, well wide of the mark on this one. Top 100 this time next year for me potentially or certainly close to it.

SF:  Luke Bambridge & Akira Santillan (AUS) CR 620 (116+504) vs Martín Cuevas & Hugo Dellien (URU/BOL) CR 604 (357+247)

That should be an interesting encounter.  The South Americans despatched the second seeds, Marc Polmans & Max Purcell, in three sets in their quarter-final.

Another winner. It's been a particularly good week for our doubles players. Well done Luke. He must also be closing in on the Top 100.

Yes, very good from our doublers.

Live rankings* show our 4 players GB ranked #5 to #8 all at new CHs.

Joe from WR/CH 86 to 82

Luke from WR/CH 116 to 110 ( on 745 points, live WR 100 is on 784 points so not far off on points )

Scott WR 126 / CH 125 to 118

Jonny WR/CH 136 to 121

Well done on their weeks plus of course Dom, Kyle and Cam on their ATP 250 titles. Cam and Kyle will also go to big doubles CHs after their extremely successful foray.

Edit: * confirmed as the actual 07/05 rankings.
